DEPARTMENT MANAGER -HOMEWARES - Coventry, Warwickshire Job Title: Department Manager (Retail Department Store) Location: Coventry, Warwickshire Salary: ?17,000 - ?22,000 + Benefits Would you like to join the UK?s favourite branded discount retailer? Our client has around 50 + stores UK wide and an expansion programme portfolio of around 30 + in the next 3 years. We are looking to recruit ambitious, enthusiastic, fast paced and driven individuals with a flair and passion for retailing. Promotional opportunities are available in every position in the business and the rate at which you progress is down to you. Our client offers a huge range of products from home and garden, fashion, electrical, home accessories and confectionery all under one roof on the high street. Key accountabilities: - Deliver exceptional results for the department/s in order to meet/exceed targets by utilising all available commercial information/reports and taking appropriate action. - Ensure that all staff are customer focused so that customers are provided with an efficient, polite and friendly service in order to maximise sales - Ensure product is merchandised according to brand guidelines and in line with promotional activity & stock availability in order to maximise sales and operating standards - Manage and control high standards of health & safety and security within department/s of responsibility - Ensure visual merchandising and ticketing standards are compliant with Company guidelines/policy at all times - Undertake duty management responsibilities in the absence of the General Store Manager and Deputy Manager Experience required: - Minimum 2 years retail management experience preferably gained in volume, fast paced environments - Strong decision making and problem solving ability - Strong leadership ability - Excellent communication skills - Strong planning and organising skills - Customer focused - Results focused Who we are: Imagine Recruitment is the UK?s leading retail recruitment consultancy, with our consultants having solid backgrounds in retail and service sectors, setting the industry standard across UK.
